Vallie Marie Creason, daughter of the late William Henry Dangerfield and Ada Francis Simpson Dangerfield was born February 18, 1917 in Green County and departed this life Sunday, October 22, 2006 in the Taylor Regional Hospital. She was 89 years of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Forrest Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was also a loving mother and a homemaker.
She united in marriage to Rollin Ivo Creason December 17, 1933, who preceded her in death September 25, 2001.
Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law: Calvin Creason, Ellis and Mary Creason, Charles and Ruby Creason, and Randal Jay and Judy Creason all of Green County; two daughters and sons-in-law: Ann and Charles "Buck" Milby of Green County and Glenda and Steve Rico of Tennessee; a brother: George Dangerfield; a sister: Hallie Nunn of Greensburg; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.
The funeral services for Vallie Marie Creason were conducted October 24 in the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Wilson Cemetery. Bro Leslie Jewell and Bro. Robert Knight officiated.
Active pallbearers were Nick Milby, Troy Milby, Jason Milby, Joe Creason, Chris Creason and Ashley Creason.
Honorary pallbearers were Carol Scott, Melissa Christerson, Barry Chase, Jason Patterson, Todd Osborne, Lee Russell, Kathy Chase, Tonya Patterson, Derenda Osborne and Jennifer Russell.
