Hallie Dangerfield Beard Nunn of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Henry Dangerfield and Ada Simpson Dangerfield, was born on May 12, 1913, in Green County and departed this life on Friday, May 15, 2009, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. She was 96 years, and three days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the South Greensburg Baptist Church and also attended the Fry Baptist Church. She was also a retired machine operator for Fruit of the Loom, Inc. She united in marriage to Richard Beard on December 23, 1929, who preceded her in death on August 30, 1976. She later united in marriage to Earl Nunn on December 15, 1979, who also preceded her in death on December 30, 2003. She was also preceded in death by a son: Rollin Thomas Beard on April 1, 1980.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Buddy and Gen Beard of Greensburg; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane Rogers and Leo Rogers of Louisville; a step-son, Phillip Nunn and his wife Debbie of Greensburg; a brother, George Dangerfield of Greensburg; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one step-great grandchild; one step-great-great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral services for Hallie Dangerfield Beard Nunn were conducted at 1 p.m., Monday, May 18, 2009, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial that followed in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
