Mrs. Mattie L. Stilts, 93, formerly of Green County, died Tuesday, January 11, 2000, at the Melrose Manor Nursing Home. She is survived by two daughters: Ruby Judd and Geraldine Paxton; four sisters: Hallie Beard and Vallie Creason, both of Green County, Ellen Paxton of Louisville, and Cleo Wright of Green County; one brother: George Dangerfield of Green County; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral services for Mrs. Mattie L. Stilts were conducted Friday, January 14, at the Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home located at 3601 Taylor Blvd. in Louisville with burial in the Louisville Memorial Gardens West Cemetery. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Harvest Baptist Church building fund. These may be made at the funeral home.
