James B. Simpson was born July 14, 1867 and died Apr. 23, 1951 at the age of 84. He was first married to Margaret Wright who preceded him in death. To this union were born 5 children, Mrs. Ada Dangerfield, John Simpson, Eva Simpson, Elva Simpson, Lukie Simpson, Mrs. Elsie Kessler and also a foster daughter, Mrs. Vannie Atkins. In Jun 1932 he was united in marriage to Mrs. Alice Jeffries. Besides his companion he is survived by 2 stepchildren, Mr. Harvey Jeffries and Hallie Jeffries, 1 sister, Mrs. Houey Arnett. He professed faith in Christ early in life and joined Oak Grove Church where he remained a faithful member until death. Funeral services were held at Oak Grove Church conducted by Rev. J.S. Bonta, assisted by Rev. Terry Bishop.
