Rebecca Biggers Thompson, 89, died Sunday, September 16, 2012, at the University Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be Thursday, September 20, 2012, from 9
until 10:30 a.m. at Oliver Funeral Home in Winona with services to follow at 11 a.m. from the First Baptist Church and burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Dr. Chris Aldridge and Rev. John L. Walker will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Oliver Funeral Home in Winona.

Mrs. Thompson was born November 11, 1922, to the late Steven and Bessie Carter Biggers. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church where she was active in LLL and WMU.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ford "Bud" Thompson and siblings: Leola Holmes, Clyde Swindoll, Mildred Pittman, Steve Biggers, Marcus Biggers, Allen Biggers, twin sister, Rachel Chandler, and Billy "Mike" Brister.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her daughter, Sarah Thompson Rehage (Harry) of Gulfport; son, Jim L. Thompson (Mae Beth) of Aiken, S.C.; sister-in-law, Sam Biggers; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
