Prominent Nations Farmer Dies of Heart Attack

Steven Lory Biggers, 67, died of a heart attack at the family residence in Nations community Tuesday, May 22nd, and funeral services were conducted from the Kilmichael Methodist Church at 3 p. m. Thursday by Rev. S. B. Potts of Kilmichael and Rev. C. L. Rogers of Winona, with interment in Kilmichael cemetery.

Prior to Mr. Biggers' ill health of approximately a year's duration, he was one of the most progressive farmers of Nation's. A member of the Woodmen of the World, he was active in all social, civic and religious activities of his community

Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Bessie Carter Biggers, of Nations; four daughters, Mrs. O. W. Holmes, Huntsville, Mrs. Lee Swindoll, Winona, Mrs. Henry B. Chandler, Boise, Idaho, and Mrs. R. F. Thompson, State College, Miss.; four sons, Sgt. Steve Biggers, New Guinea, Capt. Marcus D. Biggers, Paris, Texas, Cpl. Allen B. Biggers, Grand Island, Nebraska, and S 2/c William M. Biggers, Little Creek, Va.; three brothers, H. M. Biggers and J. O. Biggers, Winona, and R. H. Biggers, Poplar Creek; 7 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Estol Tyler, Jamie Collins, Yancy Lott, A. C. Greenlee, Emmett Kemp and Dell Tidwell.
