Alta Cornell Brummett, 77, of Stockwell, died Nov. 3, 1980 in Lafayette Healthcare. A native and life resident of Tippecanoe County, she was married at Battle Ground on July 29, 1929 to Wilbur Ross Brummett; he died in 1978. Surviving are two daughters, Maxine (Mrs. James) McGlothlin of Delphi; Marlene (Mrs. George) Russell of Lafayette; two sons, Robert Brummett of Stockwell, and Wilbur Junior Brummett of Lafayette; two sisters, Helen Cornell of Brookston and Leona Osborn of Lafayette; and two brothers, Cecil Cornell of Lafayette and Floyd Cornell of Brookston. Service Dickerson Chapel, Stockwell, Rev. Jack Williams officiating. Internment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
