Miss Cornell was born in Lauramie Township June 24, 1923. She was a graduate of Stockwell High School.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II, she was a former employee of the Brown Rubber Co., and for 10 years was employed at the Lafayette Healthcare Center, where she retired in March 1986.
She was a member of the Stockwell United Methodist Church, the Veterans of Foreign War, the VFW Auxiliary, and a former member of the American Legion.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Leona Osborn of Lafayette.
