Mode man dies of Exposure

Mode- Marion Miner Davis, 49, of Mode, was found dead in a field near his home at 8 :30 AM yesterday. He was born in Stewardson and had been a lifelong resident of this community.

At an inquest held late yesterday, by Coroner Gerald Lockhart of Shelby County, a verdict of death of a heart attack and exposure was returned. The inquest was held at the Brummerstedt Funeral Home, Stewardson.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl; three sons, Robert of Chicago, Carl with the Air Force at Indiana Springs, Nevada, and Lawrence at home; five daughters, Mrs. Wilma Nichols of Mode, Mrs. Golda McQueen of Windsor, Mrs. Jenna Witt of Dalton City, Mrs. Lulu Bell Moon of Shelbyville and Mrs. Zena Davis at home; four brothers, Howard, Emery, Everett and Arthur, all of Stewardson; three sisters, Mrs. Lottie Stroud of Fancher, Mrs Mattie Tarrant and Mrs.Nellie Ruff of Stewardson.
