Emery Davis, 71, of Stewardson passed away at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital at 3:20 AM Friday following an illness of several years.
Mr. Davis was born Feb. 18, 1899 in Shelby County and leaves his Wife, Maye, four daughters, Mrs. Frieda Allen, Tower Hill, Mrs. Kay Adams, Stewardson, Mrs. Margaret Fritts, Lovington, Mrs. Reva Ralston of Neoga, one son, Glen of Lovington, two brothers, Everett of Stewardson, and Arthur of Pana, three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Lee, Stewardson, Mrs. Lottie Stroud, Farina, and Mrs. Martha Tarrant of Effingham.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 PM Sunday in Brummerstedt Funeral Home. Casket bearers were Sam Miller, George Miller, Claud Ruff, Luther Arthur, Jim Carroll and Richard Hutton. Rev. Procell was the officiating minister.
Burial was in Union Cemetery, Mode.
