Mrs. Allen { Martha } Tarrant, 89, of Stewardson, died Saturday in Lakeland Nursing Center, Effingham.
Funeral serviceswill be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Bauer Funeral Home, Effingham, where friends may call 2 to 9 PM Monday. Burial will be in Ramsey Cemetery, Effingham.
Mrs. Tarrant was born in Shelby County. She married Allen Tarrant, 16 April 1905 at Effingham. He died in 1954.
She leaves sons, Charles of Effingham, Russell of Mattoon, daughters, Mrs. Edward {Viola} Jones of East Peoria, Mrs. Emma Cohea of Mattoon, Mrs. Truman {Edith} Rentfro of Mattoon, Mrs. Leo {Bernice} Beals of Effingham, Mrs. Earl {Ethel} Robertson of Clinton, sister, Lottie Stroud of Farina, brother, Arthur of Stewardson, 41 grandchildren
