Carl X Davis, 51, of Mode died at 6:37 AM Saturday, July 19, 1986, at Shelby Memorial Hospital, Shelbyville.
The funeral will be at 10 AM Tuesday at Brummerstedt Funeral Home, Stewardson, with burial in Mound Cemetery, rural Stewardson. Visitation will be after 8 AM Tuesday. Memorials may be made to donor's choice.
Mr. Davis was born Feb. 25, 1935, in Shumway, the son of Marion and Anna Pearl {Homann} Davis. He married Donna Tull in 1955 in Decatur.
He was a truck driver and a veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, sons, Mark of Amelia, LA, Jeff of Shelbyville, Matthew at home, Carl of Rancho Cordova, California, daughter, Cathy of Newton, Mother, Anna Pearl Elam of Pana, Brother Robert of Cisne, sisters, Mrs. Paul {Jenny} Witt and Mrs. Stanley {Lullu Belle} Pugsley, both of Pana, Mrs. Jerry {Goldie} McQueen of Mattoon, Mrs. Max {Wilma} Nichols of Shelbyville, Mrs. Wilbert {Vena} Shellenbarger of Herrick, and 10 grandchildren.
He was proceded in death by one son, one brother, and one grandchild.
