Wilma M. Nichols 81 of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 5:35 AM Sunday Oct. 23, 2011
in Hilltop Convalescent Center in Charleston, IL
Wilma was born Oct. 4, 1930 in Effingham, IL the daughter of Marion and Pearl Homann Davis.
She married Max Nichols and he passed away Sept. 5, 1975.
Wilma was a loving homemaker for her family and loved keeping up with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.For many years she was a certified CNA caring for patients, and was, for a while, supervisor of the dietary department all at Shelbyville Manor in Shelbyville.She was a member of the Christ Tabernacle in Herrick, IL. Wilma loved crocheting, drawing and tending her garden.
Wilma is survived by her sons: Gary Nichols and wife Janet of Shelbyville, Bill Nichols and wife Charlotte of Granite City, IL and Lonnie Nichols and wife Robin of Shelbyville; grandchildren: Tyler Nichols, Braden Nichols, Rylee Nichols, Sean Nichols, Nathan Nichols and Christopher Nichols; great grandchildren; Erica Nichols, Brittany Nichols, Aaron Nichols and Shelby Nichols; sisters: Lulabelle Pugsley and husband Stanley of Pana, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband Max, son Jackie, parents Cletis and Pearl Davis, sister Jenny Witt and brothers: Robert Davis and Carl Davis.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday Oct. 26, 2011 in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Pastor Tom Suey will officiate.
