Ethel Neva (Dunn) (Barrick) McInTurff was born on a farm near Clifton, Washington County, KS. She was the daughter of William Robert and Ethel Brooks (Perkins) Dunn. Her mother died three days after her birth.

Ethel came to Oklahoma Territory with her father, step-mother and five siblings, settling on a homestead near present-day Stafford in Custer County.

She was married to Clyde Vestee Barrick on September 5, 1918 at Arapaho, OK. To this union were born five children: Selma, Clyde, Lois, Clifford and Randol. Her husband passed away on Oct. 29, 1930 and was buried at the Stafford Cemetery. Vest, as he was known, was born August 8, 1899 at Arapaho, the son of Stewart and Clara (Ward) Barrick. Ethel continued to operate their farm until she was married to Walter McInturff on Sept. 8, 1942. He passed away on Nov. 13, 1967 and was buried at the Butler Cemetery, Custer County, OK.

Some years later Ethel moved into Clinton, Custer County, OK, where she was active in the musical group known as "The Brady Bunch" and the First Christian Church.

Funeral services for Ethel McInturff were held at the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Doyle Kinny and burial was at the Stafford Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau Funeral Home, Clinton, OK. Two of her children, Selma and Randol, preceded her in death.
