Mrs. Stout was the daughter of Clyde Vestie and Ethel (Dunn) Barrick. She was reared in the Arapaho area, graduating from Arapaho High School in 1942. She then moved to California and became a welder, working at that trade for a short time.

Mrs. Stout returned to Oklahoma and was married to George Flaming in 1946. They moved to the Denver, CO area, where they lived more than 13 years. After returning to Clinton, she was married to Clayton Johnson in 1964 in Clinton.

Mrs. Stout had been employed in food service, working for the Tuberculosis Sanitoriam in Clinton, and later worked for the Kellwood Factory. She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church and of the Eastern Star. She retired in 1987 and was married to Albert Stout in 2003.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Randol Barrick, and a sister, Selma (Barrick) Williams. Survivors include two sons: Robert Flaming of Clinton and James Flaming and his wife, Christine (Brown) of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Clyde Barrick of Bethel, MO and Clifford "Pistol" Barrick of Arapaho; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton, officiated by Doyle Kinney. Final resting place: Stafford Cemetery, Custer County, OK.
