Vera Contini was the daughter of Wm. R. and Ethel B. (Perkins) Dunn. Her mother died when she was five and a few years later her father was married to her aunt, Elizabeth (Perkins) Burke. The family moved from Kansas to western Oklahoma and settled on a farm near Stafford in Custer County. Some time later they moved to Colville, Washington, where they lived for a few years.

It was in Colville that Vera was married to Arthur Howard Orr in January, 1914. Three children were born to this union: an infant daughter, who was stillborn, in 1915; two sons, Howard Arthur in Washington State in 1916 and Arthur James in Oklahoma in 1919. Her husband had passed away in 1918, so she had moved to Custer County, where her parents again were living. After Arthur's birth, Vera returned to Colville.

Vera was married to Sidney Vernon Robbins in 1920. To this union were born three children; Floyd Sidney, Leona Ruth and Fred Lamont. Sidney was buried at Hot Springs, MT. In 1935 she was married to Umberto (Bert) Phillipe Contini. They were living in Jackson, Amador County, CA when their daughter, Florence Margaret, was born. Bert passed away in 1966 at Jackson.

Survivors, in addition to her children, were one sister (Ethel McInturff) and two brothers (Russell and Richard Dunn), all of Oklahoma and several grandchildren. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents and the infant daughter, were one son (Fred Lamont Robbins) and three brothers (Charles, Fred and Frankie Dunn.
