Daughter of Michael "Mitchell" Wolf (1847-1927) and Rebecca Catherine Hill Wolf (1847-1925) in what is today Rockne, Bastrop County, Texas (Walnut Hill rural area). Her father Michael was 10 years old when his family of immigrants from Wurges, Bad, Camberg, Germany settled in the German Community of Rockne, Texas in 1856. Her mother Rebecca, was born in Missouri and also settled in Bastrop as a child with her parents and family. Mary grew up in a farming and ranching family of 8 children, 4 sons and 4 daughters (4 others died as children) who ranched at Rockne and also Sequin, Texas.
Mary Catherine married Augustus William Krueger (1887-1969) in San Antonio, Texas on 19 May 1910. They were parents to 2 sons and a daughter. After moving to Victoria, Texas and raising the children, Augustus left the family around 1940 and remarried in 1944. Mary Catherine moved back to San Antonio after her retirement to be closer to family. She passed away in 1970.
