Daughter of Jeff MItchell "Michael" Wolf (1847-1927) and Rebecca Catherine Hill Wolf (1847-1925). Her father immigrated to America as a boy in 1856, with his family from Wurges, Bad Camberg, Germany. HIs mother was the daughter of early settlers in Bastrop County. She grew up in a farming and ranching family of 8 siblings (4 other died as children).

Clara married Michael Francis Farrell (1869-1946) in Sequin, Texas on 27 Sept 1899. They were parents to 2 sons, Charles Richard (1900-1977), William (1904-1972) and a daughter Mary Carmen (1907-1992)

Clara passed away in San Antonio and is buried in the cemetery next to her husband Michael.
