Mr. Robert Galbreath, age 73, of Route 1, Ailey, Ga. died at University Hospital, Augusta, Ga., Saturday, Dec. 27, following a short illness. Born Dec. 1, 1909, to George W. Galbreath and Ailey McGill Galbreath in Montgomery County, he had spent his life there, and was a retired farmer. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, in Vidalia.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Vernie Inez Hayes Galbreath, of Ailey; one daughter, Mrs. Louise Waller, Beverly Hills, California; three sons, Albert Galbreath, Atlanta, Ga., Robert Lewis Galbreath, San Bernardino, California, Harold Lester Galbreath, Las Vegas, Nevada; six grandchildren and one great-grandson. He is also survived by: two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Carey, Augusta, Ga. and Mrs. Wilma Jones, Jacksonville, Fla.; and five brothers, Emmett Galbreath, Vidalia, Ga., John H. Galbreath, William Galbreath, and Herbert Galbreath, all of Ailey and Dan Galbreath of Boron, California.

Funeral services for Mr. Galbreath were held at Murchison Funeral Home, Tuesday, Dec. 30, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Headley officiating. Interment was at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers were: Laymond Cooper, Hilburn Galbreath, Jerome Cooper, A.J. Whitfield, S.L. Galbreath and Ray Galbreath.

Honorary pallbearers were: Joe O'Neal, I.D. Galbreath, W.C. Galbreath, Edsel Crabb and G.P. Tippett.

Murchison Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
