Mrs. Ruth Burns Carey, 82, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1993, at St. Joseph Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at New Corinth Baptist Church, Ailey, with the Rev. Bob Corley officiating. Burial will be in Galbreath Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Carey, a native of Ailey, was a homemaker. She was a member of New Corinth Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, James W. Burns, San Antonio, and Nathan D. Burns, Augusta; two daughters, Alice Ivey, Augusta, Meagin Hilbert, Martinez; five brothers, Dan Galbreath, California, John Galbreath, William Galbreath, Herbert Galbreath, Emmett Galbreath, all of Vidalia; a sister, Wilma Jones, Jacksonville, Fla.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Platt's Funeral Home, Crawford Avenue.

Murchison Funeral Home is in charge of out-of-town arrangements.
