James Luther Hardy, 57,of Allenport, Mount Union R.D., died early Friday morning, June 20, 1969. He had been recuperating from a heart attack when he became ill late Thursday night. He was pronounced dead on arrival at J.C.Blair Memorial Hospital. Hardy was born on August 16, 1912, in Mount Union, R.D., a son of William and Annie (Wenzel) Hardy. He was united in marriage to Margaret Locke on August 14, 1932 at Hagerstown, MD. His wife survives with two sons, Ronald James of Newton Hamilton and Michael Roe of Erie. Surviving brother and sisters are Mrs. Paul Alkins of Saltillo, Mrs. Fred Chucheck of Clearfield and Clyde of Mount Union, R.D. Two grandchildren Stephen J. and Michele, also survive. Hardy was a member of the Allenport United Methodist Church and was employed with North American Refractories for over 41 years. Interment will be made at Orbisonia IOOF
