He was born June 7, 1905, at Mount Union, R.D., a son of William and Annie (Wentzel) Hardy. He was married to Ethel Ford of Newton Hamilton on June 7, 1927.
His wife survives along with one son, Blevins Hardy of Selinsgrove. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Fred (Mary) Beatty of Kistler, Mrs. Charles (Mabel) McCall of Huntingdon, Mrs. John (Lydia) Price of Huntingdon, Charles Hardy of Mount Union, James Hardy and Clyde Hardy of Mount Union, R.D., Mrs. Paul (Alice) Watkins of Saltillo, Mrs. Fred (Caroline) Chucheck of Clearfield. Two brothers preceded him in death.
He attended the Allenport Methodist Church. He was a member of the Huntingdon Lodge LOOM. Mr. Hardy was a foreman at the North American Refractories for many years.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 30, at 2 p.m. from the Clark funeral home in Mount Union. The Rev. Frank Crawford will officiate. Interment will be made in the Newton Hamilton Memorial Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home after noon on Sunday until the hour for the service.
