: Mrs. Mary Jane Beatty of 38 Poplar Street, Kistler, died in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital at 7:40 p.m. on Friday, April 23, 1965.
She was born July 27, 1903, in Allenport, a daughter of William and Annie (Wentzel) Hardy. She was married to Fred. S. Beatty on March 29, 1924.
Surviving are her husband along with these children: Mrs. Anna Mae Elsmore of Oklahoma City, Okla., Miss Alda Beatty of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. David (Opal) Secrest of Kistler. There are three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Lydie Price and Mrs. Mabel McCall, both of Huntingdon, Mrs. Alice Watkins of Saltillo, Mrs. Caroline Chucheck of Clearfield, James and Clyde Hardy of Allenport, Charles Hardy of Mount Union.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church and the Ladies Bible Class of the church.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 27, at 2 p.m. from the Clark funeral home in Mount Union. The Rev. Richard Owens will officiate assisted by the Rev. Donald Corley. Interment will be made in the Mount Union IOOF Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home after noon on Monday until the hour for the service.
