He was born in Keewaydin, Feb 12, 1930, a son of Clyde and Bertha (Lucas) Welch.
He was a truck driver and a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (Harris) Welch; these children, Randy Welch of New York, Sue Ann Welch at home, Brenda Woodcock of Erie, Quinetta Welch of Ohio and Deann Burger of Florida; these brothers and sisters, Charles Welch of Pine Glen, Floyd Welch of Olanta, Theona Derbeque of Yorkhaven, Gladys Martell and Eva Dodge, both of Clearfield, Edith Welch of Madera and Edna Best of Alma, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Mary McFaye and three brothers, Carl, Elmer and Haskell Welch.
Services will be held from the Leavy-Valigorsky Funeral Home, Clearfield, on Thursday at 11a.m. with the Rev. Larry Gibbs officiating. Interment will be in the Keewaydin Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 and 9 p.m. until the services Thursday.
