Mr. Welch was born at Pottersdale Sept. 11, 1890. He was a member of the Clearfield Eagles and Moose Lodges. By occupation he was engaged in farming and lumbering business.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bertha (Lucas) Welch, Clearfield; and the following children: Charles Welch, Frenchville; Carl Welch, Kane; Mrs. Wilber (Mary) McFay, Frenchville; Theona Welch, Mrs. Hugh (Gladys) Martell, Mrs. Eva Green, Haskell Welch, all of Clearfield; Floyd Welch, Clearfield R.D.; Mrs. Richard (Bertha) Collars, Mrs. Jesse (Edna) Best, both of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; Herbert Welch, Bells landing; Mrs. Edward (Edith) Welds, Philipsburg; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
One son, Elmer, preceded his father in death on Dec. 3, 1929.
Funeral services will be held from the Leavy Funeral Home, Clearfield, Saturday at 2 pm with the Rev. E. Ray Hauser, D.D., officiating. Interment will follow in the Keewaydin Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 pm Thursday, Friday afternoon after 3 o'clock, Friday evening and until the hour of service Saturday
