Eva Catherine (Welch) Lindsey was born Nov. 15th 1926 in Clearfield, Clearfield Co. PA and died April 28th, 2009 at Dubois Hospital, Dubois, Clearfield Co. PA.

She was the daughter of Clyde Allen Welch and Bertha Jane Lucas.

Mrs. Lindsey was employed at a laundromat in New Jersey until returning to Clearfield in 1983.

She is survived by three step children, Laura L. Lindsey of Vandergrift Donna Lindsey of Vandergrift Clyde R. Lindsey II of Vandergrift two sisters, Edith Mihalko of West Decatur Edna Best and husband Jessie of Elmira, OH and several nieces and nephews.

Her first husband was David Greene who she divorced. her second husband was Alfred J. Dodge who preceded her in death on July 8, 1987, her third husband Clyde R. LIndsey, who preceded her in death on Dec. 16, 2002, six brothers, Carl, Haskell, Charles, Herb, Elmer, and Floyd Welch and four sisters, Theona Derbeque, Bertha Collar, Mary McFaye and Gladys Martell.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James L. Knepp officiating.

Interment will follow in the Donahey Hill Cemetery, Millstone Township, Elk County.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 – 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10-11 a.m.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 26 S. Second Street, Clearfield.

Please note that this is my great aunt Eva and she has a burial plot and stone in the Keewaydin Cemetery, Keewaydin, Clearfield Co. PA. There is a page on here with her listed in that cemetery, but my Great Aunt changed her mind last month and wanted to be buired with her last husband Clyde. I do hope this helps everyone out.
