Mary Ellen McFaye, 72, of Frenchville died Friday, Sept. 29, 1989, at the Clearfield Hospital.

Born Oct. 11, 1916, in Morrisdale, R.D., she was the daughter of Clyde and Bertha (Lucas) Welsh.

She married Wilbur McFaye who survives along with these children, Mrs. Ronald (Margaret) Michaels of Frenchville, Mrs. Charles (Mildred) Tompkins of Lanse, Mrs. Thomas (Grace) Leigey of LeContes Mills, Wilbur McFaye Jr. Of Philipsburg, Richard McFaye of Frenchville, and Mrs. Kenneth (Bonita) Maines of Frenchville.

Also surviving are nine brothers and sisters, Charles Welsh of Pine Glen, Mrs. Theona Derbeque of York, Mrs. Gladys Martel of Clearfield, Mrs. Bertha Collar of Wilson, N.Y., Floyd Welsh of Olanta, Mrs. Eva Dodge of Clearfield, Herbert Welsh of Clearfield, Edith Welsh of Clearfield, Mrs. Edna Best of Southern Tier, N.Y., 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren and three brothers.

She was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.

Friends will be received at the Johnson Funeral Home, Grassflat, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Monday from the funeral home at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Charles Cockriell and the Rev. Lee Hebel.
