Mrs. Bertha J. Welch, 82, of 116 Merrill St., Clearfield, died in the Clearfield Hospital at 12:30 pm Saturday.

She was born in Lylertown, May 18, 1892, a daughter of William and Lillian (Bumgardner) Lucas.

She was married to Clyde Welch who died March 21, 1961. A son elmer also preceded her in death.

These children survive: Charles, Pine Glen; Carl, Kane; Mrs. Wilbur (Mary) McFaye Sr., Frenchville; Mrs. Theona Derbeque, York; Gladys Martell, Kentucky; Mrs. Dick (Bertha) Collar, Niagara, Falls, N.Y.; Floyd, Olanta; Mrs. Alfred (Eva) Dodge, New Jersey; Herbert, Burnside; Haskell, Clearfield; Mrs. John E. (Edith) Weld, Osceola Mills; Mrs. Jesse (Edna) Best, Niagara Falls.

There are also 52 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday from the Fred B. Leavy Funeral Home.

Major Harris Wood will officiate and interment will be in the Keewaydin Cemetery.

Friends may call this afternoon and evening in the funeral home and until the hour of services tomorrow.
