C L Buck Gave Up Struggle at Two O'clock Sunday Morning

Burial Was Made With Masonic Rites Tuesday Afternoon

C L Buck, a prominent young farmer living on the family homestead southeast of town, died at his home at about 2 o'clock Sunday morning. He had been sick only three weeks. Death was due to pneumonia.

Mr Buck was born at Reading, Vermont, August 20, 1863. In 1895 the family moved to this county and settled on the farm which was their home for a good many years until the father moved to town and engaged in the implement business. On July 14, 1884 he was married to Olive Beatty, who survives him together with their seven children, the eldest of whom is thirteen years. Other survivors are his mother, three sisters and four brothers. They are R A and E W of this place; Harry of Colo; C C of Iowa Falls; Mrs L D Havenhill of East Orange, New Jersey; Mrs Mary Wensel and Miss Nellie Buck of this place.

Funeral services were conducted at the home at 1 o'clock by Rev George E Shear of the M E Church. Interment was made in Hillside Cemetery by members of Terrestrial Lodge, No 276, A F & A M. A large delegation from Engle Camp, No 2524, Modern Woodmen of America, also was in attendance at the funeral.
