Funeral services for Miss Nellie Buck of Colfax, a former local resident, who died Sunday at the Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton, were held Tuesday afternoon from the Methodist church in Colfax and from the Wensel Funeral Home in State Center. The Rev Dale J Nicholson was in charge of the services. Burial was in Hillside cemetery.
Miss Buck was born October 1, 1878 at State Center, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Marcus A Buck. She grew up in this community and graduated from the local high school.
In 1926 she moved to Colfax where she had since resided.
She was a member of the Order of Easter Star and the Memorial Club.
She is survived by a brother, Harry of Ames, and several nieces and nephews.
