Mrs W H Daniels, 79, a former resident of Marshall county, died at her home in Grinnell Monday following a lingering illness. She was the mother of George and Leighton Buck of State Center.

Private funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Wensel Funeral Home in charge of the Rev James Remer, pastor of the Presbyterian Church. Interment was in Hillside cemetery.

Born February 18, 1878 at Salina, the daughter of Isaiah and Adaline McCreight Beatty she received her education and grew up in that community.

In 1894 she was married to Corydon L Buck in State Center. They made their home on a farm near State Center until 1908 when he preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to William Daniels in 1910 and they farmed in Marshall county until 1935 when they moved to the present residence near Grinnell.

Besides her widower, she is survived by nine children, Ralph Buck of Dundurn, Sask., Canada, George and Leighton Buck of State Center, Mrs Zella Benson and Mrs Vesta Renbarger of Grinnell, Mrs Norma Corbin of Nevada, Mrs Maxine Hindt and Mrs Dorothy Daniels Rubenbauer of Monterey Park, California. Also surviving are 29 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one sister, Miss Bessie Beatty of Montery Park, California.

Preceding her in death were one brother and a daughter.
