Everett W Buck passed away at his home 3 1/2 miles north of Melbourne Tuesday evening. Death was due to a heart attack. He had been in his usual good health until the day of his death.

He was born April 25, 1860 in Reading, Vermont and came to Marshall county with his parents when he was six years old. He was married to Pauline Miller in 1882. Mrs Buck and a daughter preceded him in death. Surviving are three sons, Lloyd of Melbourne, Everett of Fort Collins, Colorado and Howard of State Center and four daughters, Mrs Mayme Gue of Marshalltown, Mrs B A Watt of Pinedale, Wyoming, Mrs H H McWilliams of Sheridan, Wyoming and Miss Pauline Buck of Melbourne.

Also surviving are two brothers, Ralph A of Glendale, California, and Harry of Marshalltown and two sisters, Mrs L D Havenhill of Lawrence, Kansas and Miss Nellie Buck of Colfax.

Besides these he leaves 17 grandchildren.

He has lived on the same farm for the past fifty years.

The funeral will be held at the Wensel Funeral Home, State Center and burial will be at the Hillside cemetery.
