Clifford Allen Crose, 59 year-old painter and decorator, died in Home hospital, Saturday, of injuries received in an auto accident Friday. Crose, a resident of Stockwell, was a passenger in a car driven by Henry E. Walker, 4 South Fifth street. Walker was driving to Stockwell when his car apparently got out of control and upset on U.S. 52, two miles southeast of the city, turning over three times. Crose was born at South Bend [sic] and had lived in Stockwell for the past 50 years. In 1911, he married Grace Ryan of this city. Surviving besides the widow are: five sons, Charles of Frankfort, O.W., Steve, Chester and Donald of this city; two daughters, Mrs Mary Walker and Mrs. Dorothy Hampton, also of the city; three brothers, Oliver and Glen of Indianapolis and Quincey of Darlington; five sister, Mrs. Myrtle Elkins of Indianapolis, Mrs. May Whitteberry of Walkerton, Mrs. Bessie Bogan and Mrs. Ruth Cohee of this city and Mrs. Hazel Linedecker of Stockwell.
