Ruth L. Crose Cohee, 99, of 1205 N. 14th Street, died March 21, at St. Anthony Health Care. She was born on January 20, 1900, in Stockwell, and remained in the area for most of her life, apart from nine years when she resided with her son in West Virginia. She married Roscoe Cohee on August 18, 1923, in Stockwell, and he preceded her in death on January 17, 1985. Mrs. Cohee was a homemaker, and a member of Stoney Point Presbyterian Church in Richmond, Virginia. She is survived by a son, Bert C. Cohee of Richmond, Virginia; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Along with her husband, Mrs. Cohee was preceded in death by four brothers and nine sisters. Hippensteel Funeral Home handled arrangements with Pastor Joe Bell officiating. Interment Fairview Cemetery in Stockwell.
