Stockwell, July 13 - Allen Crose, 77, died at the Burnett nursing home, Lafayette, last evening a 5:30. Born in Boone county, near Thorntown, he married Lydia Smith. She died eight months ago. He was a retired hardware merchant. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Myrtle Elkins, Indianapolis; Mrs. May Whitteberry, Wakerton; Mrs. Bessie Bogan, Mrs. Ruth Cohee, Lafayette, and Mrs. Lillian Rayburn, Lafayette route 7; Mrs. Hazel Linedecker, Clifford and Quincey Crose, Stockwell; Oliver, Lafayette; Glenn, with the armed forces in France; also a sister, Mrs. Eunice Utley, College Corner, Ohio, and a brother, Everett Crose, Thorntown. Services, Friday at 2 p.m. at Methodist church here. Dickerson, funeral director in charge.
