Mrs. Bessie M. Crose Bogan, 79, formerly of Tippecanoe Villa, died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in Milner Community Health Care Center, Rossville. She had been in ill health one year and was admitted to the nursing facility six weeks ago. Born at South Raub, she was reared at Stockwell before moving to Lafayette 30 years ago. In 1916 she was married here to Henry Bogan, who was an employee of Schwab Sage Co. He died in 1967. Mrs. Bogan was a member of Tippecanoe Senior Citizens. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Roy (Frances) Newhouser of Rossville, Mrs. Leon (Fern) Holt of Darlington, Mrs. Clinton (Florence) Smith and Miss Frieda Bogan, both of Lafayette, and Mrs. Rex (Faye) Sparks of Cloverdale; three sisters, Mrs. Ross (Ruth) Cohee of Lafayette, Mrs. Albert (Hazel) Linedecker of Lebanon and Mrs. Myrtle Elkins of Kokomo; and two brothers, Quincy Crose of Darlington and Glenn Crose of Indianapolis. Friends may call at Hippensteel Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Thursday. Service at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Pastor Jacob H. Hoffman and Pastor Henry C. Stalldorf officiating. Interment Stockwell Cemetery. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Two sons, two brothers and four sisters preceded her in death
