NAOMI P. STOOPS FINAFROCK, age 90 of Waynesboro, PA passed away peacefully after a brief illness at 6:52 P.M. on Sunday, August 22, 2010.
Born, September 21, 1919 in Waynesboro she was the daughter of the late Percy M. and Ida B. (Bonner) Stoops.
She and her husband, Clarence C. Finafrock, were married in Hagerstown, MD by Rev. Berry Plummer in May 1940. She attended St. Johns United Methodist Church, Warm Spring Road, Chambersburg.
She was a devoted wife and mother and very much enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and tending her flowers.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Cheryl E. Finafrock and Wanda L. Miller, son-in-law Thomas G. Miller, all of Waynesboro; sisters, Arlene M. Blubaugh, Irene T. Baughman and Shirley M. Huntsberry all of Waynesboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Frances Besecker, Mary E. Etter and Fay Larue Stoops and brothers Glen S. Stoops, Orville L. Stoops, D. Claire Stoops, O. Eugene Stoops, Hubert Carl Stoops, Garland S. Stoops and Robert L. Stoops.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 27, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle with Rev. Marsha J. Bookhamer officiating. Burial will be in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the St. John's United Methodist Church, 3001 Warm Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA 17202.
