Shirley Mae (Stoops) Huntsberry, 85, formerly of Harbaugh Church Road, Waynesboro, PA, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022 in Berwick Retirement Village, Berwick, PA. Born October 18, 1936 in the Roadside area of Washington Township, Franklin County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Percy M. and Ida B. (Bonar) Stoops. She was a graduate of Waynesboro High School with the Class of 1955. In her early life, Shirley was employed at the local shoe factory. She later worked at Keystone Kountry Kitchen for many years and did domestic work for local families. Shirley was a member of Rouzerville Church of the Brethren.
She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, horseshoes, bowling, Alan Jackson music and getting together with family and friends. She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Carbaugh of Waynesboro, Cindy Drill of Hagerstown and Lori Whitmire of Berwick; seven grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Shirley was the last of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six sisters, Mary Etters, Faye Stoops, Frances Besecker, Naomi Finafrock, Arlene Blubaugh and Irene Baughman; and seven brothers, Glenn Stoops, Orville Stoops, Claire Stoops, Garland Stoops, Eugene Stoops, Carl Stoops and Robert Stoops.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 P.M., Friday, August 19, 2022 in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Quincy, PA.
