Daniel Clair Stoops, 26, died Tuesday afternoon at the Waynesboro Hospital. He had been ill for four months with Bright's disease and heart trouble. He was born at Blue Rock, the son of Percy M. and Ida Bonar Stoops. He attended the schools of Quincy Township. He married Martha Bumbaugh on Christmas 1941. He is survived by his wife, his parents at Blue Rock, and these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Harry Besecker, Harrisburg; Glenn S. Stoops and Mrs. Clarence Finnafrock, Greencastle; Mrs. Raymond Etter, Quincy; Orville L. Stoops, Chambersburg, R.R. 6; Garland, Arlene, Eugene, Carl, Robert and Shirley, at home. The Funeral will be held Friday at 2 o'clock from the Nickel Mortuary with services at the Mount Zion Church at 2:30 in charge of Rev. Lester Misner and Rev. Mr. Shank. Burial will be made in Mount Zion Cemetery.
