Mr. Gahimer dies at 64
Daniel W. Gahimer, 64, Waldron, died at his home at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday of an apparent heart attack. He had been in failing health since July.
Born Jan. 25, 1910 in Orange Township, Rush County, the son of George and Addie Belle (Rader) Gahimer, he married Olga Jane Claytor May 22, 1937 and she survives.
Other survivors are five children, Mrs. Donna Daniels, and Russell W. Gahimer, both of Waldron, Mrs Ruth Marie Reynolds, R.R. 5, Shelbyville, Danny Dale Gahimer, Forks Wash., and Miss Sharon Irene Gahimer, at home.
Also surviving are 10 brothers and sisters: Mrs. Mary Mullen, Rushville; Mrs . Isabel Smith, R.R. 1, Waldron; Mrs. Gladys Cass, Fountaintown; Mrs. Jean Oliver, Anderson; Chester Gahimer, Gwynneville; Miss Dorothy Gahimer, Mrs. Thelma Fox, Howard Gahimer, Basil Gahimer, Leonidas Gahimer all of R.R. 6, Shelbyville, and 15 grandchildren. A brother and a sister preceded in death.
Mr. Gahimer, who spent most of his life in Shelby and Rush Counties, moved to Waldron in 1950 from Blue Ridge. He was a mechanic for Porter Dodge here and was a member of the Manilla Christian Church. Services will be announced by Carmony Funeral Home.
