Mrs. Gahimer Dies At Home

Mrs. Addie Bell Gahimer, age 62, died Saturday morning at 3:25 at her home in Blue Ridge after an illness of two years. Her condition had been serious for the past several months.

Mrs. Gahimer was born in Indianapolis on August 26, 1880, the daughter of Daniel and Mary (Myers) Rader, but had spent most of her life in Rush and Shelby counties. She was a member of the Blue Ridge Christian Union church.

On November 12, 1899, she was married to George Gahimer, who preceded her in death on April 3, 1935. Thirteen children were born to the union and they all survive. They are: Marjorie Jean, Dorothy, Leandos, Basil and Virgil Gahimer, Mrs. Harry Mullen and Mrs. Leonard Fox, all of Blue Ridge; Mrs. William Goolsby, of Indianapolis; Chester Gahimer, of Rush county; Pvt. Howard Gahimer, of Bakersfield, Cal.; Danie Gahimer, of Union Township; Mrs. Cecil Cass, of Franklin, and Mrs. Charles Smith, of Liberty township.

Also surviving are two brothers and one sister, Edward Rader, of Illinois; John Rader, of Greencastle, and Mrs. Robert Edwards, of Rush county. There also are 17 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Christian Union church at Blue Ridge with the Rev. W. B. Jenkins, of Homer, and the Rev. O.J. McMullen, of Clayton, former pastors at Blue Ridge, Officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Evangelical cemetery in charge of D.E. Carmony. Friends may call at the home at any time.
