Thelma Justine (Gahimer) Fox, 81, Shelbyville, died Friday at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis. Born Sept. 10, 1918, in Rush County, she was the daughter of George and Addie Bell (Rader) Gahimer. She married Leonard G. Fox, who preceded her in death on May 10, 1975. Mrs. Fox worked at the garment factory in Shelbyville and the Gwynneville and Franklin canning factories. She was also a homemaker. She was a member of the Shelby County Western Riders, Appaloosa Horse Club and the Indiana and the Southern Indiana Appaloosa Associations. She was a member of the Blue Ridge Christian Union Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Susan L.) Rhoades and Mary A. Fox of Shelbyville; a sister, Isabel Smith of Shelbyville; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, six brothers and five sisters. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Monday at Blue Ridge, with the Rev. James Farnsley officiating. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Major Home Health Care, 150 West Washington St., Shelbyville, IN 46176 or to the Shelbyville-Shelby County Library at 57 West Broadway, Shelbyville, IN 46176. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Carmony-Ewing Funeral Homes.
