TUSCUMBIA -- The funeral for Lonnie William Jeffreys, 76, Oak Crest Nursing Home, will be at 1 p.m. today at Spry Funeral chapel, Sheffield, with Neil Blackston officiating. Burial will be in Hardshell Cemetery.
He died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1987, at Helen Keller Memorial Hospital, Sheffield.
He was a native of Lawrence County, a retired employee of Southern Railway and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Velma Mae Jeffreys, Phil Campbell; sons, Billy Jeffreys, Don Jeffreys, both of Muscle Shoals, Mike Jeffreys, Atlanta, Ga.; daughters, Betty Gresham, Muscle Shoals, Bobbie Young, Florence; sister, Myrtle Brackin, Moulton; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Bearers will be nephews and grandsons.
