JEFFREYS RITES HELD SATURDAY AT MT. ZION
Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jeffreys, 87, Town Creek 1, were held Tuesday at Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church, Rev. W. M. Briley conducting. Burial was made in Primitive Baptist Cemetery.

Mrs. Jeffreys died at her home at 12:35 p.m. last Thursday after an 18 month illness. A native of Gurley, she moved to Colbert County at an early age and had been living at Town Creek for 15 years. She was a life-long member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. James Dawson, Leigthon, Mrs. Edward Dawson, Leighton 2, Mrs. Tom Brackin and Mrs. Agnes Jeffreys, both of Town Creek 2; five sons, Ernest Jeffreys, Leighton 2, Herman C. Jeffreys, Rockford, Ill. Obie Jeffreys, Town Creek, Aaron and Lonnie Jeffreys, Sheffield; 30 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
