Mrs. Mable Jeffreys, 50, 1008 Annapolis Ave., Sheffield, died at University Hospital, Birmingham, at 4 p.m. Friday after a four-months illness. She was a native of Lawrence County and had lived in Sheffield the past 25 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. from Sanderson Chapel Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Hardshell Cemetery in Lawrence County.
The body will be at the residence after 4 p.m. today and remain there until 1 p.m. Sunday.
Surviving are her husband, Lonnie Jeffreys, Sheffield; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Gresham, Muscle Shoals, Miss Bobbie Christine Jeffreys, Decatur; three sons, Billy Jeffreys, Muscle Shoals, Donald and Mike Jeffreys, Sheffield; eight grandchildren: father, Elbert Haygood, Louisiana; three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Sanderson, Monroe, La., Mrs. Maggie Jennings, Oak Grove, La., and Mrs. Hazel Shea, Kansas City, Mo.; three brothers, Curtis Haygood, Arkansas, Roy Haygood, Huntsville, and Buddy Haygood, Kansas City, Mo., a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
