OBIT: O.D. Barker, 85, Dies; Retired Gardner Employee-

O.D. Barker, 85, of 317 Harlan St., died at 12:10am today at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Kelly Adams, in Beechwood, near Gratis. He had been ill for two months.

Mr. Barker came to Middletown in 1915 and was employed by the Diamond-National Corp. from 1924 until his retirement in 1955. He was a member of the Crawford Street First Church of God and a former member of Alpha Council 326.

Surviving are his wife, Nora; three sons, Raish and Glenn of Middletown and Vernon of Miamisburg; five daughters, Mrs. Adams, Mrs. G.C. McCreary, Mrs. Robert Fink and Mrs. J.H. Caudill of Middletown; 25 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be held at 2pm Monday at the First Church of God, with Dr. R.C. Caudill officiating. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery. Friends may call at the Joseph R. Baker Funeral Home Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9pm and at the church Monday afternoon.
