James Barker, 87, a retired farmer, was dead on arrival at a hospital Wednesday afternoon after a stroke in his home at 2731 Haley. He was born in Kentucky and moved here from Kansas City, Mo., 25 years ago. Survivors are two sons; Walter Barker of Fort Worth and George Barker of Boston; two daughters, Mrs. Iva Ullrich of Beaver, Okla., and Mrs. Helen Scott of Shawnee, Okla.; a brother, Obie Barker of Ohio; 30 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Lucas.
