OBIT: Jack Barker-

Jack Barker, 81, retired furniture dealer, died at 6:50am today at Middletown Hospital, where he had been a patient since April 21. Mr. Barker had been a resident of Middletown for 46 years.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Lou Ellen Back Wells of 810 Yankee Rd., with whom he made his home; four sons, Abe of Franklin, Jim of Monroe, Tude of Middletown and Robert Barker of West Middletown; two brothers, Obie of Middletown and Jim of Fort Worth, Tex; two sisters, Alice Barker of Jacktown and Mrs. Quinie Young of Middletown; 25 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10pm at the Joseph R. Baker and Sons Funeral Home. The Rev. Clifford Hutchingson of the Grand Avenue Church of God will officiate. Burial will be in Middletown Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10pm Friday.
