William G. Mattingly, 84, of 3710 Woodruff Ave., died Sunday at Southwest Jefferson Community Hospital. He was native of Daviess County and a retired employee of National Distillers Products Co.
Survivors include his wife, the former Flossie Stinett; three daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Hartlage, Miss Mary Ruth Mattingly and Mrs. Ethel Lawson; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Odene Taylor and Mrs. Flora DeSpain; three brothers, Harmon, Joseph and Casper Mattingly; a half brother, Eugene Mattingly; six sisters, Mrs. Lear Roby, Mrs. Kate Dishman, Mrs. Helen Able, Mrs. Mary Callahan, Mrs. Pauline Aull and Mrs. Nanna Higdon; 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Arch L. Heady Southern Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Blvd., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
