William H. "Matt" Mattingly, 90, of 1702 E. 22nd St., Owensboro, died Tuesday, February 19, 1985, at Hillcrest Nursing Home. He was born in Daviess County, retired from Glenmore Distilling Co., and was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church. His wife, Lillie Mattingly, died in 1984. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jim (Louise) Stringer of Owensboro; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Casper Mattingly of Owensboro, Eugene Mattingly of Louisville and Joseph Mattingly of Knottsville; and six sisters, Leah Roby, Pauline Aull and Nannie Mae Higdon, all of Owensboro, Helen Abell and Mary Calhoun, both of Louisville, and Katherine Dishman of Detroit, MI. Services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at Blessed Mother Catholic Church. Burial in St. William Cemetery, Knottsville. Visitation after 4 p.m. today at Glenn Funeral Home, where prayers will be said at 7 p.m.
